Know the Working of Tankless Water Heaters

A tankless water heater gives you instant access to hot water. When cool water is passed through the device you get warm water as soon as you open the hot water faucet. A tankless water heater conserves energy and water and saves your time and money. Here, the energy is consumed only for the heating of water. There is no storage of hot water, constant heating and reheating of water.

The working procedure of tankless water heater is very simple. When we are opening the hot water tap, or starting the dishwasher, tankless water heaters recognize the need of the hot water and start the process of heating.

The temperature of incoming water is used to calculate, how much heat the burners should produce to warm the water to the desired temperature. When the demand for hot water ceases, the unit shuts down and restarts only when more hot water is required. You always have clean hot water for as long as you need it.

Though tankless water heaters produce the hot water endlessly, they also save the usage of energy up to 30%.

Water Purification Techniques Used in Water Purifiers

Water purification is most important for human consumption and also for several other purposes like meeting the requirements of medical, chemical and industrial applications. This purification technique is the process of removing undesirable chemicals, biological or numerous invisible contaminants, etc. There are different methods of water purification techniques used in water purifiers.

Now-a-days there is a wide range of water purifiers available for the purpose of purifying tap water for drinking. The cheapest of these consists of a carbon filter that is attached inside a pitcher or mounted directly to the tap. At first, water is passed through charcoal that traps all the dust particles and debris of metals like lead. In older days, some pipes were made up of lead which resulted in the leakage of small amounts of lead into the tap water, but these days all homes are upgraded to copper or plastic pipes according to the building regulations.

In many water purifiers charcoal filters are used to remove most heavy metals, chlorine and dust floating particles from the water. But they does not work for bacteria and other some small invisible particles. So, in such situations water is more contaminated with life threatening organisms.

Reverse osmosis is the recent research technique used for eliminating out objects, which are as tiny as contaminated organisms. Here water is forced to pass through a semi-permeable membrane that is most capable of removing the finest particles from the water. It is the most efficient filtering technique which removes virus and bacteria as well as dissolved metals that pass easily through a charcoal filter. This method is also used to remove the salt from seawater, making it safe for drinking purpose. So, before buying a water purifier, know about the different types of purifiers that works in making water safe for drinking.
