Healing Bone Spurs

Bone spurs, also known as osteophytes can occur in any bone, joint, ligament in the body. Bone Spurs are not painful but they can interact with neighboring nerves and muscles which can result in pain. Several treatment methods and pain medications and in some cases surgery are necessary for curing bone spurs. Certain vitamins help in healing bone spurs. Symptoms for bone spurs are joint pain and reduced range of motion. Bone spurs basically occur around joints such as knee, shoulder, spine and fingers.

Increase the intake of Vitamin K by food sources from green vegetables such as cauliflower. Lack of Vitamin K may lead to the formation of bone spurs. Vitamin D consumption is essential for maintenance of calcium levels in blood as well as growth of bone and maintenance of bone density. Calcium and magnesium also provide relief, supplements can be taken from health food store or a supermarket. If vitamins fail to remove bone spurs and pain consult a doctor for medication and to ease in the elimination of bone spurs.
