All you Need to Know About a Baby Nurse

A new born infant almost keeps awake during nights. In order to ensure proper care for new born infants, some families hire a baby nurse. A baby nurse is hence referred as the one who takes care of newborns or infants. Based on their work, they can be called as maternity nurses, newborn specialists, and night nannies. In some states, a person can be called as a baby nurse legally, only if she is involved in practicing profession of a registered nurse or a licensed practical nurse. People who do not possess medical license, but have experience in newborn care, are termed as newborn specialists.

A baby nurse feeds the baby or brings the baby to the mother for feeding. She is also involved in soothing the baby and changing diapers through the night. The mother requires a deep restorative sleep in order to recuperate themselves from the physical and emotional demands of childbirth. So a baby nurse takes care of the infant at that time. She also provides help to mother after delivery to begin breastfeeding.

Baby nurses may work in shifts for eight-12 hours. They may be hired to look after certain number of babies. So based on these two issues, the salary of baby nurses changes. It is very much beneficial for mother as well as other family members to hire a baby nurse for a newborn care.
