Landscape Your Front Entryway to Provide a Warm Welcome

All of us wish to have a beautiful home with perfect landscaping ideas. The entrance and the front entryway of your home is the first thing that your guests look at. Landscaping your front entryway by different ways provide a warm welcome for your guests. You need to consider various things while landscaping your front entryway.

One of the best and most basic landscaping principles is to add lines to your landscape. You can include curved, straight, hatched or irregular lines in landscaping. Framing the curved gardens that gradually angle to a gentle arrow towards the front porch creates a beautiful entryway. Choose appropriate colors of plants or shrubs and use them either in a symmetrical or asymmetrical fashion throughout your entryway landscape.

A warming entrance can be maintained by placing potted flowers or evergreen shrubs in ornate pots on either side of the door. You can also place them through the border of the front entryway to attract your guests' attention. It looks much more beautiful if you keep a series of pots of varying heights close together creating a dramatic container garden.

Use pebble stones, concrete or grass to form the front entryway path. Place landscaping tiles of various shapes, sizes and colors adjacent to one another. You can also place them evenly apart with grass planted in between for varied color and texture. Another idea to landscape the front entryway is to arrange lighting. You can use standard white or yellow lights or any other different colors of lights depending on your personal taste. Different shapes of lamp posts are available which blend with the exterior of any home. Use any of these landscaping ideas to improve the entrance area of your home and make it more beautiful.
