Air Purifiers For Asthma

Asthma is a common respiratory condition in adults and in children, asthma attack happens to a sufferer when the airways to the lungs become narrowed and inflamed. It has symptoms like, loss of breath, dizziness, wheezing, coughing, etc. The reasons for the asthma are, particles such as pollen and dust, and chemicals such as paint fumes or tobacco smoke. To prevent the asthma attacks and to protect the asthma patients from further infection, keeping the house clean by removing the dust causing material is one of the ways. The other way is the use of air purifier which eliminates particles, odors and fumes from the air.

For the patients suffering from the asthma, the purifier which uses HEPA cleaning system is the perfect solution as the HEPA filter captures 90% of all particles sized 0.3 microns or larger in diameter which enter into the system. To work effectively, these filters need to be cleaned or replaced regularly, according the manufacturer's instructions. The other purifiers like electronic air filters also filter the air borne particles but they have the disadvantages of releasing ozone in to the air, which irritates airways in lungs, causing temporary broncho spasm in the patients suffering with asthma, and nasal congestion in the patients having hay fever or rhinitis.

Air purifiers are necessary for the houses in which there are patients suffering from asthma, to prevent fatal asthma attacks. The particulate matter and chemicals responsible for these reactions must be eliminated from the air.
